The Directorate for Legal Standardization, Approximation and Harmonization is responsible for:
a. Legal standardization from the aspect of legal technique and standardized methodology for all draft laws that are proposed for review and adoption in the Assembly
b. Linguistic standardization (correct translation) of the texts in Albanian, Serbian and English of the draft laws proposed for review and adoption in the Assembly
c. Harmonization of the final text of the law, including legal standardization from the aspect of legal technique and standardized methodology
d. Drafting preliminary reports for draft laws as the primary responsible body in cooperation with two other relevant Directorates, in the General Directorate for Legal and Procedural Affairs
e. Providing support for drafting legislation and drafting amendments through the recommendations given in the preliminary report
f. Providing professional support in the alignment of draft laws and amendments proposed by parliamentary committees, in order to align them with EU legislation, namely with the "EU Acquis" and international conventions applicable in Kosovo
g. Providing support for harmonization and legislation in force of all draft laws that are processed for review and adoption in the Assembly through the preliminary report
h. Providing opinions and legal expertise on the request of the bodies of the Assembly
