The Committee on European Integration is a Standing Committee. The committee, within its scope and responsibilities, considers and monitors the process of harmonization of any law adopted by the Assembly with the legislation of the European Union.
Pursuant to Article 69 of the Assembly Rules of Procedure, the Committee on European Integration is one of the four main parliamentary committees, and is the key actor in the Kosovo Assembly, for the EU related matters.
The Committee on European Integration, being the main committee, is necessarily involved in the legislative process, where it has to consider all draft laws and amendments submitted in the Assembly, in terms of approximation and harmonization of legislation with the EU acquis.
Within the executive monitoring, the Committee on European Integration oversees government activities related to the development of relations between Kosovo and the EU, implementation of the SAA, respectively implementation of the National Program for the Implementation of the SAA, it oversees the addressing of the findings of the European Commission Country Report, oversees the implementation of the European Reform Agenda, and the priorities of the Government of Kosovo towards Kosovo's European integration process.
Within the parliamentary diplomacy, the Committee co-operates and coordinates with EU institutions and their offices in Kosovo, cooperates and exchanges best practices with EU member states and countries participating in the Stabilization and Association Process. It also participates in regional and international organizations and initiatives.
