The current policy issues of status, the work of the Parliament of Kosovo, financing the political parties were the main topics of today™s meeting of the President of the Assembly of Kosovo with the deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo, Gjergj Dedaj, President of the Liberal Party of Kosovo- an European party with a 15 years experience who can really contribute in the policy flows of Kosovo.
Gjergj Dedaj in the beginning of the meeting expressed some disagreements regarding some issues, since he didn™t have the chance to be member of none of the committees and he™s not satisfied with the financing of small parties. According to this he feels like left aside. Dedaj requested that discussions in the Parliament should be done on the basis of political parties. He went on expressing some political opinions, such as: the political Forum is illegal, it is a substitute of institutions. Then, he emphasized that regarding the status of Kosovo there is no need to discuss with no one. First it should be known the formal Independence of Kosovo and then who wants to discuss can discuss as much has he wants. The Assembly is the highest representative institution, so it should be the main subject for all issues.
The President of the Parliament Daci emphasized that regarding the issue of financing the small parties was a decision of the Presidency of Kosovo, but he personally had an opinion to determinate a financial quota for these parties, but the decision was taken based on votes. And regarding the numbering of deputies for debate, the Head of Legislator emphasized that this issue was determinate by Regulation. But, when discussing about policy issues, then the floor is given to deputies according to political parties. Regarding the membership in committees, said Daci according to the Regulation no deputy can be a member if he doesn™t belong to any of parliamentary groups. So, regarding this issue Dedaj can submit a request to the Presidency of the Assembly of Kosovo, said Daci. The President of the Assembly Daci went on saying that the Independence of Kosovo is unquestionable; the Political Forum is illegal and does not have legality and institutional legitimization.
Gjergj Dedaj on this occasion raised the issue of offices for the needs of deputies. Similar to this, the President of the Parliament Daci emphasized that offices will be provided after they are released, because for time being those offices are used by the Government of Kosovo.
